Thieves of the Wood

Ambientato nel cuore delle Fiandre del XVIII secolo, Ladri del bosco è un bel dramma d'epoca, anche se cade un po 'troppo in acque melodrammatiche verso la fine della serie. Per la maggior parte però, lo spettacolo fa bene a destreggiarsi tra il suo cast centrale di personaggi, con Jan il più simpatico fuori il gruppo. Con alcune immagini grintose e un po 'di design di produzione decente, questo dramma fiammingo è certamente sufficiente per giustificare un orologio, anche se è improbabile che accenda la scena drammatica d'epoca.

Certo, non so molto su questo periodo della storia, che è partito perché il dramma è così attraente. Al centro di esso però si trova il soldato di ritorno Jan, che scopre che la corruzione è dilargente nella sua città natale, grazie in parte ai malati e ai poveri esiliati nelle foreste. Con una chiara classe dividere questo precoce agendo come combustibile per i conflitti futuri, dall'altra parte della recinzione è Baru, un nuovo ufficiale giudiziario desideroso di instillare riforme e cambiamenti. La terza e ultima trama principale ruota intorno a Heloise e insieme, questo trio di personaggi essenzialmente ancorare il dramma ai soliti tropi che ci si aspetta.

Ci sono accenni di una trama Robin Hood-esque al lavoro qui e durante tutta la serie la maggior parte del dramma ruota intorno a una strada in costruzione che funge da punto cruciale del conflitto per entrambe le parti. Come la serie cresce, questo cambia leggermente per incorporare temi più romantici, ma ci sono un paio di bei colpi di scena in ritardo che mantengono le cose interessanti. Non darò troppo via, ma basti dire se ti piace il dramma del personaggio e gli elementi saponati, Ladri del bosco è una buona opzione.

Esteticamente almeno, lo spettacolo sembra grande. C'è un netto contrasto tra ricchi e poveri qui, deliberatamente messi in mostra attraverso primi e sfacciati estremi del fango e della sporcizia, mentre ampi e spazzati scatti degli interni sontuosi offrono il contrario per i ricchi. Si tratta di un trucco sottile, ma uno che funziona bene per rafforzare i temi che giocano in tutta la stagione.

In termini di costume e design di produzione, Thieves of the Wood fa bene e c'è un vero sforzo per renderlo il più autentico possibile. All'inizio c'è una parola maledetta specifica usata che ho dovuto guardare in alto per assicurarmi che fosse adatta per il periodo di tempo, ma oltre a questo, la serie fa bene a mantenere le cose coerenti e credibili.

Con una grafica decente e un ambiente insolito non spesso presentato, Ladri di legno in realtà non reinventa la ruota, ma fa un buon lavoro mantenendo le cose impegnate comunque. Non siamo riusciti a trovarti abbastanza velocemente!
